Ashee: Thank you very much.
JOHN: Tell us a little bit about PXL? What do you guys got going on?
Ashee: PXL is a software company. We have a product called EZ Photo Art which is a digital album designing software. With our software you can design any page in less than one minute and it holds for the book in less one hour. The software comes with like more than 1700 ready to use templates. So what you do is simply drag and drop and a page is ready. Apart from that, you can create your own templates, modify, save it to your favorite category, have a page announcement like magic wall, retouching, lasso too options to FTP, email, print a contact sheet, and much, much more.
JOHN: Well, Ashee, who is your primary target customer?
Ashee: Our main customers are photographers, digital labs, album companies, but these are the ones who use our software.
JOHN: And what makes your software so easy to use?
Ashee: It's the simplicity and the way how it's been designed that even, you know, a granny, you know, can use it with the simplest of use.
JOHN: So let's say Granny wanted to take some of her old photos and digitize them and she could use your software to put together a photobook?
Ashee: Absolutely. What happens is when she has her photos with our software, what she just has to do is just choose a template from a huge collection of templates and just drag and drop her picture and a page is ready in less than one minute.
JOHN: Now what if she's got a hole slew of pictures from years gone by?
Ashee: Absolutely. What she can do even if she has old pictures, she can retouch them, she can color correct them, she can modify it, she can have some nice filter effects, some comic stuffs, and everything.
JOHN: Now do you have little things, I know a lot of people like my wife she likes to put together photo books, and she has little do-dads and things she could put on them.
Ashee: Absolutely. We have a huge collection of clip arts, backgrounds, masks, borders, frames, different kinds of stuff plus if you have your own backgrounds, clip arts from internet, you can simply download it to your computer and you can use it with our software.
JOHN: Well what do you think is the most unique aspect of PXL software?
Ashee: Right, the most unique aspect of our software is it's fast and way simple and easy to use. That's the main USB, because with that, you know, anyone can use our software and can design a book and save us time and make money.
JOHN: Now how long has PXL been around?
Ashee: PXL has been around since more than 3 years. In fact, at the last year Photokena, Germany, we received the best software award.
JOHN: Congratulations on that. Where are you based out of?
Ashee: We are based in India, our headquarters is in India, but we have a local office in New Jersey, and we have 40 dealers in different countries all over the world.
JOHN: And how did you get wrapped up in the PXL package?
Ashee: Oh, you know, just came on an interview and just got into it and there's no stopping back.
JOHN: And you've been in the software business prior to this?
Ashee: Not actually, but I had graduated in IT, and that's the way how I just came into it.
JOHN: You're an IT man?
Ashee: A bit of.
JOHN: Now you're a salesman?
Ashee: Yeah, I mean it's like by blood I'm a salesman.
