Alan Drewsen assumed his position with INTA in September of 1998, following 25 years as an attorney in New York City, both in private practice, where he specialized in antitrust and health care law and litigation, and as the senior vice president and general counsel of Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Throughout his legal career, Mr. Drewsen has represented trade associations in a variety of industries, and he has served on the board of directors of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association and other not-for-profit boards.
Today, Mr. Drewsen is a frequent speaker at trade association programs and events, where he addresses the public policy issues and business topics that are the focus of INTA's activities. In his dual-role as INTA's Executive Director and Spokesman, Mr. Drewsen also participates in press interviews conducted by leading news media outlets.
Mr. Drewsen is a graduate of Denison University and the Yale Law School and lives in New York City.
