ERIC: Great. Thanks for having me.
JOHN: Are you the marketing director for Delkin?
ERIC: Yes, I am.
JOHN: Well tell us what is the new, hottest thing here at the PMA 2008?
ERIC: We've actually got a few hot products, and first I'll start off with our duel universal battery charger for digital camera batteries and camcorder batteries. It's a...what's unique about this is it charges 2 batteries at the same time. So you've got a base unit here that takes different plates for specific batteries on the market so if you've got an SLR and you're shooting, you know, going through a few different batteries, you can charge two batteries at the same time. You can also charge them through the car as well. And what a lot of people have is they carry around an SLR as well as a point and shoot camera so that's why you charge your point and shoot camera on the other side. So there's...the possibilities are endless of what types of batteries you can charge with. They're independent charging circuits as well so it doesn't split the charge and take twice as long to charge two batteries so it also tells you how long you have to charge as well with your battery status indicator.
JOHN: Well that's a handy little device.
ERIC: Definitely.
JOHN: What else is new here at Delkin?
ERIC: We've got a four port image router reader which is four compact flash cards, USB 2.0, so download all four cards at the same time. You can even daisy chain the reader together to take 8 cards, 16 cards at one time into the computer. So it is also bundled with a software that allows you to batch rename, take and change all the image files, put them in certain location on your hard drive, even back them up to a CD or a DVD with the click of a button. So you set your parameters, insert your cards, hit import, walk away, come back, and everything's done.
JOHN: What a handy device for the professional photographer.
ERIC: Oh, it's a great device for the wedding photographer, the event photographer. Really any photographer that is coming back from a shoot with multiple cards, a lot of images to transfer to their computer. Makes their life a lot easier.
