ANNOUNCER: This VTalk Radio Photography Spotlight is brought to you by morephotos.com helping professional photographers with all their internet needs. Welcome to the VTalk Radio Photographer Spotlight.

DAMIEN: Good afternoon and welcome to the VTalk Radio's Photography Spotlight. My name is Damien Allen, and today we have Mr. Zach Wessels of Traverse City Video. How are you doing today, Zach?

ZACH: Good, thank you, Damien.

DAMIEN: So why don't you tell us a little bit about your business.

ZACH: Well you know, it kind of got started when I was going through college, and I was shooting a lot of my friends' weddings with video, but I only had a consumer end camera, and so finally after graduating and having a "real job" for a little bit, I invested in professional grade equipment and continued to do weddings. I really enjoy it. I really enjoy the amount of creativity I have and get in there and editing and putting the whole process together and handing a bride and groom a package that I know they are really going to enjoy.

DAMIEN: And speaking of package, what kind of packages do you offer with this?

ZACH: I have all different types from the entry level...real basic kind of stuff, all the way up to the full high definition, 1080 on Blue Ray. I'm really flexible to fit my customer's needs.

DAMIEN: So when you shoot an event, are you using one camera? Do you have more than one principal shooters?

ZACH: What I do right now is I'll have one manned camera that I'm behind. It's a Canon HA1 and I'll put up my second B camera towards the back of the church and that way it adds more of a theatrical show once I get it edited where it's cut in from the back end to where I am and zooming all around, and with only two cameras, I can make it sometimes look like there's 3 or 4 cameras.

DAMIEN: So if I was having a wedding or an event that I needed shot, what kind of price range am I looking at for these services?

ZACH: Again, anywhere from the really basic around $500. $495 is our starting package all the way up to the full High Definition covering the whole day and doing a little entry montage for your presentation at your ceremony for about $2,000.

DAMIEN: If I wanted to have say specific music used for one of these presentations, am I able to get that music? Are you able to put it in the video?

ZACH: Yeah, any music that you want to hand to me, I'll be more than happy to throw in the video. I'll question, you know, I want to make sure it's legal, and royalty free, but other than that, I'll be more than happy to do that.

DAMIEN: Ok. What kind of turn around time are you looking at on a package?

ZACH: Some of the more basic packages like say the one that starts out at $495, because there's only minimal editing involved in that maybe less than 15 hours, I can have that back to you in a couple of days; however, with the higher end packages about 2 weeks.

DAMIEN: If my family lives out of state and they'd like a copy of the video or they'd like to look at a portion of the video before it's done, is there a website or anything they can go to to take a look at some of your work, or maybe purchase the item itself online?

ZACH: Absolutely. Go to www.traversecityvideo.com. I'll probably have a sneak peak of your video on there. There is my contact information. All you have to do is give me a call. I do automatically provide the couple with 5 copies of the DVDs so they can hand out and keep a couple extra just in case, and if they want some more, they're very reasonable not charging for getting an extra copy, you know, what the main price is that goes into the work of creating the project in the first place.

DAMIEN: Anything else you would like to add before we leave today?

ZACH: No. Thank you very much, Damien.

DAMIEN: We've been speaking with Zach Wessels of Traverse City Video in Traverse City, Michigan, and you're listening to the VTalk Radio's Photography Spotlight. I'm Damien Allen. Have a great afternoon.
