ANNOUNCER: This VTalk Radio Photography Spotlight is brought to you by morephotos.com helping professional photographers with all their internet needs. Welcome to the VTalk Radio Photographer Spotlight.

DAMIEN: Good afternoon and welcome to the VTalk Radio's Photography Spotlight. I'm Damien Allen, and today we are at the Great Lakes Institute of Photography Show at Northwestern Michigan College, and we are speaking with Evonne Bugai of Nelson Moulding and Frame of Traverse City, Michigan. How are you doing, Evonne?

YVONNE: Pretty good.

DAMIEN: So what are we doing here at the Institute of Photography Show>

YVONNE: We're hear showcasing our wood moulding line for photographers who would like to use that in their photography studios.

DAMIEN: So you sell basically mouldings and framing supplies?

YVONNE: Yep. We sell...we're a wholesale distributor so we have all of the supplies that you would need to create custom picture framing.

DAMIEN: So if I'm going to make a custom picture frame, I'm going to need, of course, the frame?

YVONNE: And you may need glass, foam core. You need econospace. You need a vacuum board, hangers.

DAMIEN: So you sell the materials. Do you also do the custom framing yourself? Do you build to specifications or?

YVONNE: Actually picture frame moulding comes in either length or you can get it chopped and put it together yourself, or we can also assemble it for individuals.

DAMIEN: What are some of the differences in the materials that you use? I see a lot of wood frames here. I see somethings that almost look like birch bark over there. What are some of the things that you brought with you today?

YVONNE: Basically it's an all wood moulding line. Some of the more fancier mouldings, the ornates and stuff, they use like a gessow and then they can make the design on top of the wood moulding. Some of them are stained. We have veneers, burrow would be like the slice of a burrow, like a knot on a tree, and then they laminate onto the wood base. Some are painted. Quite a different variety of options.

DAMIEN: So you supply to the photography studios themselves?

YVONNE: Mostly we supply to frame shops and art galleries. Photographers do a lot of metal moulding and we are encouraging them to use a more wood moulding, because it's more classier, and it makes their photography look a lot more sensational.

DAMIEN: How long have you been doing this?

YVONNE: Nelson's Moulding and Frame has been in business for 50 years. It's family owned so this is our 50th year anniversary.

DAMIEN: Congratulations. And if one wanted to find out about your product line, how would they get ahold of you?

YVONNE: They could call (800) 289-2467.

DAMIEN: And where is the shop located?

YVONNE: In Traverse City, Michigan.

DAMIEN: We have been sitting here speaking with Evonne Bugai of Nelson's Moulding and Frame in Traverse City, Michigan, at the Great Lakes Institute of Photography Show at Northwestern Michigan College. Thank you very much, Evonne, for spending time with us.

YVONNE: Thank you.

DAMIEN: You're listening to the VTalk Radio's Photography Spotlight. I'm Damien Allen. Have a great afternoon.
